My personal experience.
One of my toughest enemies that ever existed. One of my and your biggest fears that we ever had. It's called Procrastination. Procrastination is something that you might be doing even now while reading this article. Unfortunately it is probably the new culture that we all live.

You are not alone.
Do you know what? You are not alone out there in this world procrastinating. And good news is, that the cure is - just as simple as you would never say it could be. But with the hardest implementation that you can undergo. But let's take a look at some names first.

Pablo Picasso, Leonardo Da Vinci, Ellen DeGeneres, Benjamin Franklin, Mark Twain. Do you know anyone of them? There is thousands of names that had to deal with procrastination in the humanity not even in our generation. For example you might know Abraham Lincoln who said:

'You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.'

Or one of my favourite procrastination quotes is: 'Procrastination is like a credit card: It's a lot of fun, until you get the bill.'

I know how you feel.
I have been victim of my own procrastination countless times. The feeling - that anything could be better than doing of what I have to do now. Remember? For example preparation of presentation to work is a nice example of procrastination. I spend hours and hours of vacuuming, cleaning, dish washing, painting, helping friends on the Skype or over the land line, sports, running, playing games, reading articles, extreme long bath or shower, and solving things that appeared in front (and in order to procrastinate) spending more time with my friends or with Jane, wasting time on social sites like Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest. But while I was procrastinating, in the back of my mind, some kind of voice was always telling me: 'You should be sitting on the chair and doing what you need to do!'

But the feeling of unwillingness and the other voice were so strong, that I even felt I don't even care for the results! I was really there and it was huge part of my University studies as well as preparation for projects and for work.

The feeling of wasting my time.
Mostly I have started to do something until the situation started to be dangerous. What I mean is I started to be in danger of failing my exam or presentation, or whatever I had to do at that time. Procrastinating over and over again took me so much time. I even felt that projects take too much time to do. Rather that killing it all at once in few hours, it took couple days to do! That's waste of your limited time.

Then I have realised something.
At that moment of wasting my time, I realised something, that kicked me in to my butt and pushed me to work harder than ever before. What was it? My goals! And the feeling that it's only Me who is preventing me to succeed and stop procrastinating.

This is simple secret of why do everyone procrastinates. People do really spend time doing something that they have NO or At least very minimal motivation to do so! Many people HAVE to do something that they don't like to do. So that's why they procrastinate! The simple cure is, maybe the hardest and it's: Avoid doing something where your motivation is at the point of zero or even below zero. I was extremely demotivated to do something towards my obligations that were subject of my procrastination!

Out in the Internet is ridiculously massive amount of products to get in order to stop your procrastination, such as: Now Habit: A Strategic Program for Overcoming Procrastination and Enjoying Guilt-free Play is one of my favorites as well as David Allen and his: Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity or one that I read at the High school while learning about productivity from Brian Tracy: Eat That Frog!: 21 Great Ways to Stop Procrastinating and Get More Done in Less Time or Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway: How to Turn Your Fear and Indecision into Confidence and Action. I like them all, but the realising the true value of time in your life is the strongest of all cures you can have.

And there are also some people who actually like to get shirts to remind them how important it is to fight with procrastination habits just like this one: Procrastination Joke Ash Grey T-Shirt Funny Light T-Shirt by CafePress

As I have already said it is the matter of motivation and you need find ways to get pumped up. And procrastination means that you have a lot of time. But do you really?

The Simple cure to stop procrastination or How to stop procrastinating.
I have already met people who like to read books and to learn about themselves for too long. They would like to learn how to Stop procrastinate but they always fail to realise things they have learned after learning it. The way that helped me (personally) the most is: Choose what are you going to do, before you do it much more cautiously and precisely.

Temporary way How to stop procrastination now.
In order to kill your procrastination habits, you have to create new habits, or simpler - avoid doing something that is not part of your motivation. Otherwise, tell yourself positive 'lies' just like these:

I love to study;
This project is the best thing that could happen to me;
Being part of this community and working for them is the best thing ever;
Learning makes my brain much stronger and vital;
I love to read hundreds of pages and count and write thousands of math problems;

Love what you do (even you hate it). It is ridiculous but it is the only way that will help you in long run with procrastination. Fake it until you make it.

As Abraham Lincoln said:
'You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.'
